the cord on this is just wrapped leather which is not shown.

hand cut out with a jewelers saw, absolutely no power tools were used to cut this out!
hand filed, and sandpaper. Unfortunetly i had to use a dremel for a couple spots to get the corners down

its hard to tell from the photo but this is actually 3 layers.

1/8th thick brass, that is a 9+ temperage.

Nice work man! That must have been tricky with just a hand saw! Way to stick with it!

I know exactly how much time and effort you put into this piece. Let me say this...you are one crazy jeweler. I am taking classes in Jeweling and Metal Working and we are not allowed to use power tools either. Just one question...how many blades did you break making this thing? ;) Anyway...its a great piece...wonderful even. I give you kudos for being able to make this and having it turn out so well.

Lol thank you muchly!
I never took any classes myself, i just went to a hobby shop and bought the tools. I wish classes had been available where i lived at the time, but now im too set in my ways and proud of being self taught to go to any.
i broke 2, im not used to brass, and the temperage on this is insane.

I feel for you. I think the most I broke on one project was five? There were a lot of right angles! LOL. And you did good for being self taught. I havent used brass...I have only used silver and dix gold. As well as copper. ;) I had to think of that for a moment. LOL
